Taipei Hotels with Early Check In: Review

One of the times in which hotels never seem to be quite in-sync with their guests is when it comes to check-in and check-out times. On holiday many people want to lie in. They have no work to go to, few responsibilities to attend to, so there is no need to wake up early. Despite that, many hotels have checkout times of 11:00am, which means that by the time they factor in eating breakfast, getting a shower, getting dressed and then leaving the room, guests have to wake up around 9:00am, maybe even earlier. Guests put up with this because they accept that they could probably use more time to sightsee anyway, and to plan their journey back home, but what about the check-in times?

Many hotels have check-in times of 3:00pm. This can be awkward for those traveling far to get to the hotel. If the flight or the train schedule, and therefore their arrival time, doesn’t sync with the check-in time they can be left holding their suitcases and watching the clock, which is very rarely practical.

That’s why we put this list together. Taipei is a very busy and exciting city, and standing around waiting for the hotel to let you into your room, missing out on great food and entertainment as you do, is no way to endear yourself to it. The hotels on this list, however, either have earlier check-in times, or can make arrangements so that you can check-in several hours earlier than normal.

Hotel Eclat Taipei

Located in the culturally rich Da’an District, which has many great restaurants and bars, along with plenty of attractions, the Hotel Eclat Taipei has 60 rooms. This little luxury hotel has a 5-star rating, with beautiful rooms and exceptional service that make it popular with leisure and business travelers alike. The checkout time for this hotel is pretty standard, at 12:00, but guests can check-in at the Hotel Eclat Taipei from just 14:00. This is a good hour less than the average, but you may struggle with regards to requesting an earlier time, due to the fact that they are a small and popular hotel, so the chances that your room was booked the night before your own booking are quite high. This means that they will need the time between 12:00 and 2:00 — from he previous guest checking out to you checking in — to clean and prepare the room.

The staff at the Hotel Eclat Taipei are very accommodating in many other ways though. If you are taking children with you, for instance, then they will happily supply you with an extra bed or cot in your room. There is an extra charge for a bed if the child is over 4, but there is no charge for a cot, although it does need to be arranged with the management of the hotel in advance.

The Hotel Eclat Taipei also offers free Wi-Fi and free parking for all of its guests. It has a laundry and a dry cleaning service, and guests can also enjoy Western cuisine in their onsite restaurant and a relaxing drink in their second floor bar.

Taipei Fullerton Hotel

The Taipei Fullerton Hotel is another hotel that offers check-in from 2:00pm. This 4-star rated hotel may even be able to accommodate you if you want to arrange for an earlier check-in time, due to the fact that they have 100 rooms — significantly more than the Hotel Eclat Taipei — which may give them more room to maneuver.

The Taipei Fullerton Hotel is also located in the popular Da’an District, and as well as plenty of attractions nearby, the hotel itself serves as a great destination. Designed in a modern style, the Taipei Fullerton Hotel offers-up Chinese and Western food, with buffets for breakfast and standard menus for other meals throughout the day. The hotel has free Wi-Fi throughout; all rooms feature iPod docs and all of them are air conditioned with a flat-screen television and cable TV channels.

If you want to relax and unwind, then you can head to the onsite Zen garden at anytime throughout the day. There is also a sauna. If you’re here on business then the Taipei Fullerton Hotel has a business center where you can arrange meetings and get some important work done, and if you travelled to the Taipei Fullerton Hotel by car then you will be happy to know that there is a car park outside the hotel, with free parking facilities for all guests.

K Hotel Taipei II

The K Hotel Taipei II is a 4-star hotel that has 81 rooms and is located in the Zhongshan District. As with the other hotels listed here, guests can check-in at the K Hotel Taipei II from 2:00pm, checking-out on their departure date at 12:00. An extra bed can also be brought into any of the K Hotel Taipei II rooms, with one child under the age of seven able to stay on one of these beds free of charge. Other children can also stay, but there may be additional costs.

Situated in the heart of Taipei, in a location that many hotels would kill to have, the K Hotel Taipei II is a stone’s throw from all of the best landmarks, restaurants, bars and attractions that this great city has to offer. These include the Xingtian Temple, which is just a few minutes away by car. If you’d prefer to venture further into the city then there is also a subway station located just a few minutes away from the K Hotel Taipei II, reachable by foot.

From their Superior Double Rooms, which are their cheapest rooms, to their K Suites, which are the biggest and most luxurious rooms, there is plenty here to match your budget and your needs. All guests are welcome to a buffet breakfast, which is served every morning, and all rooms come fitted with fridges, air-conditioning, flat-screen televisions, DVDs and more. All guests will also receive free slippers and the use of fax and photocopying services (available at the front desk), a hairdryer, free toiletries and much more.
