The Grand Hotel

This magnificent hotel holds a place close to the hearts of all residents in Taipei. Designed in a classical Chinese style, the majority of it was built in the 1950s, with the final pieces put together a couple of decades later. As it is popular with diplomats, there is no shortage of business facilities at The Grand Hotel, including meeting rooms, conference rooms and banqueting rooms.

The Grand Hotel is also ideally located, sitting in the heart of the Zhongshan District, which is one of the most, if not the most popular district for travelers in the city of Taipei. There are plenty of restaurants and street food vendors nearby, and the Shilin Night Market and National Palace Museum are also just a stone’s throw away. If you want to head further afield then the train station is also within walking distance.

City Suites

The City Suites hotel is a beautifully designed 4-star hotel that offers all of the basic amenities and much more besides. There are 111 rooms in total in this hotel, and all of them are fitted with a television, a bath and a comfortable seating area. There are many rooms to choose from, depending on your needs and your budget. The design of the City Suites hotel is elegant but simplistic, whilst also adhering to the principles of feng shui. Outside of your room, in the main areas of the hotel, you will find a 24-hour front desk that offers a number of services and is on hand to help where needed, a tour desk that can guide you to the best attractions and can even suggest day trips, a shared lounge and meeting rooms. There is also an airport shuttle, which can pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel on your day of arrival, before taking you back on your day of departure; a car rental service; a currency exchange; and more.

RF Hotel

If you want something a little cheaper then head for the RF Hotel, which is a 3-star rated establishment in the heart of the Da’an District, which is ideal for food lovers, shoppers and for those seeking some culture. All of the rooms are spacious and simple, following the standards of feng shui, and although they are not as big as the ones in The Grand Hotel, they are a great deal cheaper and they do have everything you need to make your trip to Taipei a comfortable and memorable one. This includes elegant furnishings, a flat-screen television and a comfortable seating area. There isn’t great deal in the hotel itself, certainly not as much as the ones listed above, but there are a wealth of restaurants, bars and more outside of it.
