4 Star Hotels Taipei – Best Four Star Hotels in Taipei

There are plenty of hotels to choose from the in the city of Taipei, and for many travelers to this modern city the luxury and affordability offered by a 4-star hotel is the best way to go. They are not as expensive as a 5-star hotel and they offer more in terms of amenities and hotel facilities than a 3-star hotel. Typically the difference between a 4-star and a 5-star, other than price, is that a 5-star pays more attention to the small details that many travelers miss anyway.

In this article we will take a look at the best 4-star hotels, the ones that missed the 5-star cut by a short distance, offering great value for money and creating the perfect base for your trip to Taipei.

The Okura Prestige Taipei

This is one of the most highly rated 4-star hotels that you will find in the city of Taipei. This is pretty much adored on all of the hotel reviews sites, with thousands of user reviews in total, the vast majority of which have nothing but good things to say. Our own experience of the The Okura Prestige Taipei was also a very good one, as this hotel excels in all areas and does everything that you could ask of it and so much more.

With many views of this stunning city, and a location deep in the heart of the vibrant Zhongshan District, The Okura Prestige Taipei serves up delicious breakfasts to all guests every morning, with the onsite Toh-Ka-Lin restaurant doing the honors. This restaurant serves Chinese food throughout the day, but there is a little more of an International flavor to the cuisine during breakfast.

As well as an outdoor pool, The Okura Prestige Taipei also has a sauna and a fitness room, not to mention a business center, laundry service, tour desk and more. If you want to relax away from the pool or sauna then you can enjoy a relaxing massage in the spa or wellness center, with a variety of other treatment options available. All of the rooms come with room service (with the option for breakfast in the room) a mini bar, a fridge, air conditioning, a hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also wireless internet available throughout the hotel, and the 24-hour front desk can help you out if you have any questions or need any assistance.

Dandy Hotel Daan

Although not as highly rated as the The Okura Prestige Taipei, the Dandy Hotel Daan offers more than enough to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable vacation in this great city. This 4-star hotel has 73 rooms in total, all which which are fitted to a high standard and with a modern feel. Each hotel room has its own en-suite bathroom, inside which you will find a hairdryer, toiletries and a shower. If you want something a little more soothing, then some of them also have baths.

There is no fitness center or sauna in the Dandy Hotel Daan, which lets it down a little. However, it does have a business center, a conference room and other facilities, such as a laundry service, a dry cleaning service and more. High speed internet is also available throughout the Dandy Hotel Daan, and there is also valet parking and an airport shuttle.

As for the location, the Dandy Hotel Daan is located just a twenty minute walk away from Daan Station, which can take you anywhere you want to go within the city of Taipei. If you want to stay within the district then there is plenty to see and do here as well, including the Daan Forest Park, which can be reached following a ten minute walk, and the Grand Mosque and Jianguo Jade and Flower Market, which is also nearby.

iTaipei Service Apartment

One of the main benefits of the iTaipei Service Apartment is the size of the rooms. Taipei is a compact city, and much like other major cities in the East, including those across Japan, land is at a premium here which means that the rooms in this city tend to be on the small side. The rooms at the iTaipei, however, are some of the biggest we have seen in a 4-star hotel.

There is a 24-hour reception desk within the hotel and there are also meeting rooms, which makes it ideal for business travelers who need to arrange conference calls and meetings. There is also a concierge and if you’re planning on a long stay, or if you packed light, then there is also a laundry service and a dry cleaning service on hand that can assist you with quickly laundering your clothes.

The iTaipei hotel is very close to many of the city’s most visited attractions, including the National Taiwan Museum and the Taipei Futai Street Mansion, and they even have an airport shuttle service that can take you to and from the airport. There is a fitness center within the hotel, so you can keep up with your workout regime whilst on vacation, and high speed internet is available throughout the building. If you have rented a car or plan to do so, then you can also make use of the parking facility that the hotel offers to all of its guests.

Cosmos Hotel Taipei

Located in the same district as the iTaipei hotel mentioned above, the Cosmos Hotel Taipei is a short distance from many of the city’s attractions and there is also an airport shuttle, along with parking facilities. There is a fitness center inside the Cosmos Hotel Taipei, and there is also a beauty center where guests can indulge in a number of pampering treatments, including passages. There is even a salon, perfect for those seeking the perfect hairstyle for a night out, along with a coffee bar.

As for the rooms at the Cosmos Hotel Taipei, there are a huge 225 of them in total, all of which are designed to a highly modern standard, with a fridge and a flat-screen television, offering cable channels and pay-per-view channels, along with a DVD player. All guests are served breakfast at the Shanghai restaurant every morning, whilst dinner and other meals can be ordered throughout the day at the Cantonese Dim Sum, where local delicacies are served. If this is not to your taste, then there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and more located in the surrounding district.
