Balcony Hotels Taipei

A balcony is something that’s only included in a handful of hotels, but that the vast majority of guests prefer. What better way to enjoy a city — or any location for that matter — than by relaxing on a chair a few feet from your hotel room, basking in the sun and sipping a cocktail?

In this article we’ll show you the best hotels in Taipei that have balconies, focusing on a range of hotels so that everyone can afford their own private view of this great city.

Grand Hotel Taipei

The Grand Hotel Taipei is a beautiful building, built in the Classical Chinese style, but with a modern touch that makes this one of the most stunning buildings in Taipei, a city that is not short on beautiful architecture. This is where the diplomats and other important people stay when they visit the city. It is a 5-star hotel that offers the best of the best, and one that also has plenty of balconies so that guests can enjoy the view.

The Golden Dragon room, also known as the Superior Room, is the cheapest room that has a balcony, offering a view of the garden. Other rooms, such as the Prestige, Deluxe and Junior Suite, have views of everything from the mountain and river, to the city and the grounds.

The Grand Hotel Taipei comes with a long list of amenities and services, all of which are available to all guests, regardless of which room they stay in. Obviously the more expensive rooms do have better amenities, but you don’t make it as a 5-star hotel by neglecting your standard customers, and everyone spending a night at the Grand Hotel Taipei is offered the best service and the height of luxury.

K Hotel Taipei Songjiang

If a 5-star hotel is out of your price range, then try the next best thing. The K Hotel Taipei Songjiang is a 4-star hotel located in the Zhongshan District, surrounded by the best food, art and culture that Taipei has to offer. K Hotel Taipei Songjiang is also just a short drive from the Songshan Airport, with plenty of attractions located within close proximity to the hotel.

The K Hotel Taipei Songjiang is located deeper in the urban jungle that is the modern city of Taipei, which means that the balconies offer views of the city’s skyline. They are proud of these views, and once you see what’s on offer, you won’t blame them. All rooms come with a city view, but you’ll have to book into a K Deluxe Room if you want a terrace. This is the most expensive room in the hotel, but it is not a huge leap from the basic rooms, as there are only 85 rooms at the K Hotel Taipei Songjiang and there are no huge price differences between them.

The K Hotel Taipei Songjiang doesn’t have an onsite restaurant, but this is rarely an issue as it is surrounded by a number of great places to eat and drink. In fact, if you book into one of the balcony rooms, then you might even be able to see these restaurants from your room!

Tianmu Star Urban Living

If the hotels above are still out of your price range, then maybe the Tianmu Star Urban Living will be a better fit. This is a three-star hotel, and one that is affordable enough to suit all budgets. The Tianmu Star Urban Living is located in the Beitou District of Tiapei, a peaceful district and one that is best known for the many hot springs that surround it.

  • Airport Shuttle? Yes
  • Free WiFi? Yes
  • Pool? No
  • Fitness Center? No
  • Restaurants? No
  • Near Public Transport? Yes

As a three-star hotel, there isn’t a long list of facilities here, but all the basics are covered and this is still a very comfortable hotel. If you want to save your money to enjoy in restaurants, bars, nightclubs and other attractions, then this could be what you need. Tianmu Star Urban Living is a very highly rated hotel and one that also offers views of this leafy district from its balconies.

The Skyline Suite has some of the best views, looking out over the city from its spacious balcony, but there is also a great view from the Triple Suite, which looks out over the mountains as well as the city. Most of the rooms here have a view and a balcony of some sort, so you should be okay regardless of which room you book.
