Danshui

The Danshui or Tamsui District is located in New Taipei City, a popular location with travelers from all over the world. The Danshui District has plenty to offer in regards to tourist attractions and also has a number of transportation links that can make traveling to other areas of Taipei a breeze.

The Tamsui Old Street is one of the most popular attractions in the Danshui District. This is a typical Taiwanese street, packed with plenty of shops selling all sorts of wares. This gives tourists a feel for the real Taiwan and also for the historical Taiwan, as this street and the shops that decorate it have existed for many years. The Old Street is located a short walk from a nearby Metro line and can also be covered by foot. The Teng Feng Fish Ball Museum is also not too far away, showcasing the history of this famous delicacy that you will probably eat at least once during your trip to the city.

Other tourist attractions in the Danshui District include the Drop of Water Memorial Hall, and there are also plenty of places to eat and drink in the area, giving you a taste for real Taiwanese food.
